I am so grateful to all of the candidates, campaign staff and volunteers who put themselves out there in the face of incredible odds and out-of-control spending by our opponents, to try to win back our state. You all should be so proud of the solid grassroots efforts you made on behalf of all the people of North Carolina.

Now we must remain united, keeping in mind those who continue to struggle with poverty, hunger and whose basic human rights will continue to be under assault.
